Beattie B. Ashmore has once again been recognized among Greenville’s leading attorneys, earning a place in Greenville Business Magazine’s 2026 Legal Elite.
The annual Legal Elite recognition highlights outstanding attorneys across the Greenville area, with honorees selected through voting by members of the local legal community. For Ashmore, the recognition is particularly meaningful as a reflection of the respect he has earned from his peers throughout more than four decades of practicing law.
A former federal prosecutor with more than 40 years of trial experience, Ashmore has built his career handling complex civil and criminal matters in both state and federal courts. His practice encompasses criminal defense, civil litigation, personal injury and federal civil cases, with experience ranging from high-stakes criminal prosecutions and federal fraud cases to significant civil litigation and personal injury matters.
He has also been named the Greenville Business Magazine’'s Best Criminal Defense Lawyer in Greenville every year since 2015.
